Cannon fodder can steal points, especially if they have 36 attempts at it. > Barca will miss Toure and Puyol is getting old They still have Busquets and Keita. Puyol was the MotM in the WC final, he has one more solid year in him at least. I am surprised though that they haven't picked up another CB though after Marquez's departure. They do have Milito as backup though. OTOH with their offense they can simply outscore anyone. Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Villa, Ibra might be a candidate for the attacking talent ever assembled in one team. Each and every one is a bonafide superstar, and they have proven that they can all play together (except Ibra to some extent). > fast. Mourinho knows how to beat Barca. 6 points against Barca? Very very far from guaranteed.

Kind of funny negotiation from what I can tell in news reports. Inter's asking price is supposedly 25 million (Euros? Sterling?) and Real has offered 22 million. Honestly, for a club like Real that's not that much (especially for Maicon)and I don't understand why they're dicking around over what's basically chump change.

Nobody is spending a single euro in the market. Inter got Snejider for a more than fair price and is time for them to reciprocate now. Maicon is a 28 year old fullback that will have no resale value for Real after he is signed. 22 million for such a player is more than a fair price because of the age, position and current market conditions.

Disagree. He's the most influential backline player in the world and Mourinho knows that better than anyone. Privately, he can't be happy his new bosses are trying to be cute instead of just paying Inter and getting him in the squad.

Fabregas just committed to Arsenal for the season at a press conference, acknowledging that the Barca deal is not going to happen. It may actually bode well for the strapped Blaugrana, as they can spend on a defender or two instead.
