Schalke play Hamburg, Leverkeusen and Bayern in a succession . That
will make or break their season. They also play Bremen, Stuttgart,
Mainz and Eintracht all tough games. I f bayern are still in the
Champions league and Hamburg and Brmen in the Europa that will help
them a bit.
Bayer have to start scoring again and stop drawing games to get back
on top.

They have an 8 and 9 point gap to the relegation zone, with only 10
matches to go. And they need to be passed by *two* teams from the bottom
four. It's not inconceivable that *one* team can go on a tear and make
up the gap, but *two*? I don't think so.

Apart from that, Bochum are unbeaten since the winter break.

Really are the Mancs of Germany, no?

How frustrating will it be if Leverkusen lose after going undefeated.
Sven used to derisively refer to them as the pharmacy, I don't know if
they still have that stigma of being bland, lifeless club.

I'll root for Schalke, because Magath is a badass (I mean winning the
Bundesliga with WOLFSBURG?)

Interesting how that can happen in some leagues. A complete drop off
like that.

Not really. We don't have a SAF (and with the structure here, probably
couldn't).

Play-wise, no. Lots of people are against them for being a company (not
just Sven, but lots of Bliga fans agree on that). Plus the people who
laugh at them for always being 2nd... the tag line last Sunday was "do
Leverkusen march all the way undefeated to the vice-Championship?"

Not really, given that last season was the outlier. I think before that
they never finished higher than 6th or 7th.

Plus, even if two teams do pass them, they are still in the relegation
playoff , and I don't fancy any of Augsburg, Bielefeld, Düsseldorf,
or St. Pauli vs those two, battle hardened relegation fighters than they
are.
