From: Stevio on 5 Mar 2010 06:40 At the time, most people thought the red card was harsh. If anything, Lafferty started it and should have been booked. But in the cold light of day, Brown did stick the head into Lafferty, which Lafferty didn't do, and so the red card was justified and there was little chance of the ref changing his mind about it. Why the big fuss?

Why the big fuss? > Rangers never got their standard penalty kick Seriously though, at the time I thought it was harsh, but when you look at it again, you look at the images, he headbutted Lafferty in the chest, so the ref got it right, right? Also, being serious sorry, but I don't think Rangers should have had a penalty for the one people have been talking about.

Why the big fuss? Why the big fuss? Here's why the big fuss; Celtic *had* to win this game. Losing it would mean no Champion's League next season, it would mean that the 120,000 a week they are shelling out on *loan* players would be wasted and it would mean that their financial strength would be greatly eroded due to a combination of the above. Thus, they let it be known that they wanted the benefit of the doubt in any decision that had to be made and wanted to presurise the SPL and the ref into making sure they got what they wanted. They didn't get it and now there's merry hell to pay. The trouble for celtic is that they long since pissed everybody off with their constant whinging and complaining about everybody and everything - nobody wants to know any more.
