Yes. Messi was born and raised in Barcelona suburbs.

Debt grew some 160 mil. euro because of a dispute with the taxman
dating back to the 90s.

After all appeals, barça was forced to pay, and pay cash. Other than
that, barça had record revenue and turned an operating profit.

Still, Barça's debt is half that of RM.
