Either it's intentional or it isn't.

You admit it was even and NZ wasn't robbed?

So why are Australians whining about it?

There's too much Italy bashing going on, it's impossible to talk about
football.

I found it appalling.

Because had the referee not blown for a penalty, It indeed would have been a
famous win... potentially!!!

I dont bash Italy, I love Italy, been there, have Italian relatives, and
will go there again in the future, it just hurts when someone calls
Australia as a whinging nation that I get annoyed at.

We play sport hard but fair, and the lowest an opponent can get to is
*taking a dive*, which is a non issue in every sport in Australia except
when we play football against someone who uses it to our disadvantage, its
taken a very long time for Football to get to where it is today, and it also
hurts, when you hear the uneducated soccer viewer in Australia say, *oh its
just a game where people just get knocked over by thin air*, and that
newspaper you mention in another thread does its best to throw the sport
into the ground.

Show some respect, or people like me will return fire with the jibe like I
did.

Yes, Australia is wrong. As we see in this WC with the sending off of
Aussie players it is clear to see they do not know how to tackle or
block shots on the goal line. Then when the are penalized for it they
complain. Australia could learn from New Zealand. New Zealand knows
the goal scored on Italy could have easily been ruled off and the
penalty called against could have easily gone the other way too but
they are content with the draw which keeps their hopes alive to move
on. Australia are the sucks of world football.
