Enzo is very similar to Benny in this regard. Once they decide not to
like a player, they dont let facts get in their way.

A complete and utter lie. Facts ALWAYS come into play when I give an
opinion about a player. If I don't rate a player there is a very high
probability that statistically he doesn't measure up.

He has been unable to do anything with Argentina.
He has not taken a mid-level team like Napoli to the title.
He playes for Barcelona, and even then needed some Norwegian
referee to help him win a CL. The other CL does not count
since he didnt participate after Q/finals.
He has not been among the top 4 forwards in the liga last
season.

I could go on.

Please parse the statement correctly. I never said he is
not a good player. But I disagree that he is some sort
of genius. My statement about rating him is in this context.
He was obviously one of the best players in Europe last
season.

Completely agree, he's most effective when there's a Xavi or Iniesta
running the show. Problem is, Argentina have neither. The current
Argentina team is a very good barometer of how good/great Messi truly
is. If he's only lighting it up when he's a sideshow then he's no Kaka
or Ronaldo.
