For consistency's sake, I made an ever-so-slight O/C modification to
your list

9 Brazil
6 Italy
5 France
3 Argentina

Argentina was 1 match away from not qualifying for this WC.

They allowed someone with zero managerial material to learn on the job
and *still* qualified. They probably don't even need a trainer to
qualify.

I was flying home today on Jet Blue, which appears to have the best
inflight video of any US airline, and caught a good deal of the
Argentina-Germany game. Argentina totally panicked. Several times
they took shots outside the box when there was a GAPING hole to push
the ball through. And while no one seems to have mentioned it, the
opening goal involved a DREADFUL piece of goalkeeping--he was frozen
to the spot and the header, which wasn't hit all that hard, hit him on
the shin and bounced in. Germany deserved it but really Argentina
were incredibly disappointing. Iguain didn't have a clue either.
