From: milivella on 17 Jul 2010 20:27 Goalkeeper: Casillas Defender: Maicon Midfielder: Sneijder, Xavi Forward: Messi Overall: Xavi --- Here are the complete results, but remember that it's not sure that e.g. the second goalkeeper is the second best goalkeeper for the RSS collective mind! Goalkeeper 6 Casillas 4 Julio Cesar 3 Lloris 1 Friedel 1 Victor Valdes Defender 6 Maicon 4 Lucio 3 Lugano 3 Pique 1 Ashley Cole 1 Puyol Midfielder 5 Sneijder 5 Xavi 2 Iniesta 1 Donovan 1 Messi 1 Robben 1 Schweinsteiger 1 Xavi/Iniesta Forward 8 Messi 3 Forlan 2 Milito 1 Drogba 1 Higuain 1 Mueller 1 Ronaldo 1 Villa Overall 4 Xavi 2 Messi 2 Sneijder 1 Iniesta 1 Xavi/Iniesta --- My two cents (you are invited to post your opinions!): - Odd: Xavi is the only best player, but he is tied as best midfielder. - For the first time, the best player is not the best attacking player in the UCL winning team. Nor the UCL top scorer (in the previous three seasons these two definitions designed the same player). But this was a WC season, and a player from the winning team won; not the top scorer (Villa), though. - As usual, silverware won: other than Xavi (who won La Liga as well), Spain have Casillas. Maicon and Sneider won UCL and Serie A. Messi won La Liga. - In the first three seasons of the award, only one player won twice: Vidic as defender (06-07, 07-08). This term, three players repeat themselves: Casillas (07-08), Xavi as midfielder (08-09), Messi (08-09). -- Cheers milivella

And I'm happy of it: you know, you are *the first scout*, and above all without you Fantasy Scout would have aborted, there would be no game now. I've updated the data ( http://fantasyscout.altervista.org/ ) and of course your rank is starting to improve (Pato+Neymar+Hernanes!), but this round of friendlies seems to have been good for Daniele too, and for the usual couple Enzo & MH... well, pretty much for everybody but me! -- Cheers milivella
